Audit laminar fluid flow. Calculate the volumetric flow rate and average velocity of an incompressible Newtonian fluid through a cylindrical pipe.
Poiseuille's law highlights the massive dependence of flow on pipe radius (r⁴). Decreasing the radius by half decreases the flow rate by a factor of 16. This is crucial in hemodynamics and plumbing. Valid only for non-turbulent (laminar) flow.
